A Poem for Dane

Listen to the mustn'ts child
Listen to the don'ts
Listen to the shouldn'ts,
the impossibles and the won'ts
Listen to the never haves
Then listen close to me
Anything can happen child
Anything can be.

Shel Silverstein

Aria

I've finally gotten onto a pretty consistent schedule with the kiddos during the day, and I get to spend some alone time with Ari throughout the day. She's such a sweetie. Long copper lashes, downy copper hair, and a smile that lights up any room whenever she sees one of us. My heart is comforted each time I see it. When I look at her sleeping face, I think of the velvet of lamb's ears, of feathers, of pearls. She is total perfection. God knew exactly who I needed when He chose to give us Ari. I will miss these moments of peace and of gazing on our gift when they've passed.

quick update

Still no baby yet. The induction is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday 9.13.10, if Larissa doesn't deliver today. But with the incoming addition to our family, we felt that we should have a different blog name. Our new blog is The Anderson Express and can be found at:

hope to see you all there, continuing to follow Dane and dos. :)

Viking Boy

Mark pulled out a fun prop he got at the Warrior Dash race last year, and not surprisingly, Dane loved it. Or maybe it was just the attention;)

Visit with Uncle Steve

Mark's bro, Steve, drove over for Sunday lunch and to visit for a bit. He, Mark and Dane had some super fun guy time with lots of wrestling and playing ball together. Dane showed off his constantly improving walking skills, looking very pleased with himself:)
